J. Alan Reid, CEO of Forward Management has been appointed to the Board of Governors of Investment Company Institute (ICI), a national association of investments companies, including mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, and unit investment trusts. The Board is responsible for setting policy and overseeing activities of the Institute, aimed at encouraging adherence to high ethical standards, promoting public understanding, and otherwise advancing the interests of funds, their shareholders, directors, and advisers.

Mr. Reid is CEO and a Founder of Forward Management, the Investment Advisor to the Forward Funds and the Accessor Funds. He also is CEO of ReFlow Management, a fund services company, which provides liquidity to mutual funds. With 21 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Reid is known for his innovative approach to developing strategic alliances and pioneering technological solutions. He was formerly a Principal and Executive Director of the Private Wealth Management team at Morgan Stanley, and a Senior Vice President and Director of Business Delivery at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Online. He continues to serve on many industry and thought leadership committees, and also is a member of the Board of Directors of FOLIOfn. Mr. Reid holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Menlo College.
